CLEVELAND WOMEN FALL TO DYERSBURG
The Cleveland women lost a heartbreaker to Dyersburg State Monday afternoon as they fell 62-50. The loss drops the team's record to 11-11 overall with a conference record of 5-9.
The ladies led 31-22 at the end of the first half, but were outscored 22-5 in the third quarter. They stayed within striking distance, but were never able to keep up any momentum in the fourth quarter.
Macie Collins led a trio of scorers in double figures with 11 points. Kennedy Baker and Kayla Lopez each had ten points in the game.
Mar'Nazha Houston led the team with ten rebounds. Baker had eight boards while Collins pulled down seven in the contest.
Lopez had five assists while Baker and Collins had two each. Collins led the team with two steals.
The women travel to Motlow State in a conference matchup on Wednesday. they will return home on Saturday to play Volunteer State. The game will also be the "Play for Kay" event with proceeds going to cancer research.
