COUGAR WOMEN DROP CLOSE CONTEST WITH EAGLES 56-50
The Cougar women's basketball team couldn't overcome a bad third quarter as they dropped a conference loss to Dyersburg State, 56-50. Trailing by six at the half, they managed only two points in the third quarter. They would cut the deficit in the fourth quarter, but couldn't make a complete comeback.
Macie Collins and Sloan Pender each reached double figures in the game. Collins led the team with 18 points while Pender finished the day with 14 points.
Kennedy Baker had 11 rebounds to lead the team while Mar'Nazha Houston was right behind with ten. Damoni Kpana had four assists in the game while Kayla Lopez would finish with three. Baker and Lopez would each have two stels in the contest.
The squad returns to action on Wednesday night as they host the Senators of Walters State. Game time is set for 5:3pm EST.
