KEDRICK FRANKLIN INVITED TO TWO JUCO SHOWCASES
Rising sophomore Kedrick Franklin of the men's basketball team has been invited to two juco showcases over the next two weekends. This coming weekend, July 11-12, he will be attending the All-American Juco Showcase in Atlanta, Georiga. The event is being held at Morrow High School. Then, the following weekend, July 18-19, he will attend the P32 Juco Showcase to be held at the Memphis Sports and Event Center in Memphis, Tennessee. Both events are NCAA certified.
Franklin, a 6'8" forward from Baton Rouge (LA), appeared in all 27 games for the Cougars this past season. He was the 4th leading scorer on the team as he averaged 8.2 points a game while shooting 42.6% (84 of 197) from the field which included 25.4% (16 of 63) from three point range. He collected a total of 126 rebounds (4.7 a game) which was second on the team.
He will be one of six returners who saw time on the floor this past season where the Cougars finished with a 12-15 record overall and an 8-12 conference record.
