COUGARS DROP CONTEST WITH CHATTANOOGA STATE 80-76
The Cougars hit the road again for their second conference game of the year. They would fall late in the contest against Chattanooga State by an 80-76 final. The loss evens their overall record at 2-2 as well as in conference play with a 1-1 record.
Three players would reach double figures in the game led by A.J. Horton with 28 points. Point guard Seneca Robinson would finish with ten points as well as reserve post player Alex Lowry.
Horton would lead the team with six rebounds while Lowry and Kedrick Franklin each five boards. Robinson would have five assists and two steals to lead the team while Franklin had three blocks in the contest. Zechariah Canidate and Xavier Washington also each had two steals in the game.
Cleveland will have their first home conference game this Saturday as they host Dyersburg State. The Eagles will come into the contest with a 1-3 overall record and a 1-1 conference record. Game time is set for approximately 4pm EST.
