COUGARS STRUGGLE LATE; FALL TO DYERSBURG
The Cougars struggled late in the game as they fell to Dyersburg State Saturday afternoon by an 81-70 final. Trailing 69-68 late in the contest, they saw their opponents outscore them 12-2 in the final minutes for the win.
Xavier Washington led the team with 14 points. Three other other Cougars reached double figures with Kedrick Franklin finishing with 13, Ryan Neal with 12, and Zechariah Canidate with ten.
Brandon Lanier led the team with ten rebounds followed by Jacob Turner and Seneca Robinson with five each in the game. Robinson would have four assists in the contest followed by Turner and Carson Boyle with two. Turner had two steals while Franklin finished with two blocks.
Tjhe team will be back in action at home on Wednesday as they host Walters State in a conference tilt. Game time is set for 7:30 pm EST.
