COUGARS FLEX MUSCLES AGINST SOUTHERN CRESCENT; WIN 111-77
The Cougars went down to Georgia on Wednesdy night to face Southern Crescent in a non conference game. They came away with their fourth win of the season with a convining 111-77 final.
The Cougars were consistent as they scored 57 points int he first twenty minutes of action and followed with 58 points in the second half of play.
They had six scorers reach double figures in the contest. Xavier Washington led the way with 23 points. A.J. Horton followed with 18 points while Jacob Turner finished with 13 in the game. Ryan Neal and Kedrick Franklin each tallied 12 points, and Zechariah Canidate had 11 in the win.
Brandon Lanier had nine rebounds to go with nine points. Washington was next with seven boards while Franklin grabbed five caroms in the contest. Canidate and Turner each had four assists in the gamewhile Turner led the team with two steals.
The Cougars hit the road for their last game of the semester Monday, December 15. They will face Bevill State in Jasper (AL). Game time is set for 4pm EST.
