Head Golf Coach, Brooks Thomas Leaving Cleveland State
After one year of coaching the Men's Golf program at Cleveland State, Head Coach Brooks Thomas is leaving to pursue career advancement in collegiate coaching at the four year level.
Thomas a graduate from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and a 3-time winner on the Professional Open Golf Atlanta tour led Cougar Golf to a 12th place finish in the 2023 NJCAA Division II National Tournament.
Coach Thomas a golf technician in his own right and while understanding the psychological nuances of golf competition guided the Cleveland State men to second, third (twice), fifth and 12th place finishes during the regular season.
Athletics Director Mike Policastro said: "I want to thank Brooks Thomas for his leadership as Head Coach of Cleveland State Golf. No doubt with his dedication and attention to detail he was a major component in raising the level of performance of our team and each golfer."
A search begins immediately for the next Head Coach for Cleveland State Golf.
