Cougar Golf… Title Winner at the Alice Lloyd College Eagle Invitational
Cleveland State Golf finished the Eagle Invitational Tournament on Tuesday November 1 with a final two day score of 586 finishing as the title winner in the field of nine beating second place finisher Roane State and Bryan College by three shots. Walters State came in fifth shooting a 597.
Cougar golfers Dalton Sutton who finished in third shooting a two round total of 143 and Cain Stover with a 144 finishing tied for fourth each were named to the All-Tournament team. Nic Ravnborg with a 149, Owen Kreuger at 150 and Bryce Barber scoring 154 finished tied for 15th, 17th and 27th respectively.
Day one on Monday October 31 saw Cleveland State shoot a field leading round of 289 placing them in first at tournament site Nob North Golf Course in Cohutta Georgia. Of the nine schools competing Truett-McConnell followed the Cougars in second place with a 291 while Roane State was at third shooting a score of 293.
The Cougars were led by Cain Stover on the tournament opening day who was in first place with a score of 69 while Dalton Sutton shot a 72 tied for fifth. Bryce Barber, Owen Kreuger and Nic Ravnborg tied at 12th each shooting a round of 74.
