Cougar Golf… Fourth Out of 11 at the Alice Lloyd Invitational
Cleveland State Golf completed the two round Alice Lloyd College Invitational in fourth place out of a field of 11 on Tuesday September 13. Played at the StoneCrest Golf Course in Prestonsburg, KY the Cougars finished in third place on day two giving them an overall team score of 598. Kentucky State won the tournament leading from start to finish.
Individually, all five of the Cougar Golfers finished in the top 15. Dalton Sutton led the way in seventh place shooting a total of 148 while Bryce Barber scored 149 for eighth place. Jarrett Glass shot 151 good for 12th, Kipp Coker finished 14th with a 153 and Owen Krueger tied for 15th with a 154.
Head Coach Caleb Evans was encouraged by the way his team competed, saying: "Coming in fourth and only one shot from a top three finish in the tournament's strong field of 11 shows us that we can compete at a very high level. I am excited to see the continued development of each one of our players."
