CSCC Gym Floor Improvements
Cleveland State Community College recently refurbished the court floor of the L. Quentin Lane Gymnasium. The week-long procedure included sanding, staining, sealing, painting and applying a floor coat finish. The final process assures that athletic competitions as well as school and community events are scheduled on a surface that first and foremost emphasizes safety.
The court floor showcases newly painted lines and borders of navy and white along with the Cleveland State logo and gym name. White boundary lines for the volleyball court provides contrast for game management while the logo for the Tennessee Community College Athletic Association in red, navy and white border the bottom of the free throw line. A shaded stain inside the basketball three-point line and a cougar head in the center of the floor complete the simplistic color patterns and design displayed on the floor.
Assistant Men's Basketball Coach Caleb Coleman along with Athletics Director Mike Policastro collaborated on design. Coach Policastro said, "I am happy with the finished project. The design, colors and emphasis on school pride is nothing short of spectacular."
