COUGAR VOLLEYBALL: MEET YOUR OUTSIDE HITTERS
Our final group of volleyball athletes are the outside hitters. This group consists of six players which include returning sophomores Jayla Gillespie, Zowee Dillard, and Elanee Cotter. The other three are sophomore transfer, Aaliayah Rodgers along with freshman Saylor Clark and Caroline Church.
Jayla is from Greeneville, Tennessee where she wa a graduate of Greeneville High School. As a freshman, she appeared in 18 matches. She had 18 kills and four assists. She had 39 digs and two solo blocks to go along with 13 service aces.
Zowee is from Murfreesboro, Tennessee and is a graduate of Coffee County High School. As a freshman, she appeared in 20 matchess. She had 232 kills and 257 assists. She had 211 digs and ten solo blocks as well as 30 service aces.
Elanee is from Ooltewah, Tennessee and is a graduate of the Ivy Academy. As a freshman, she appeared in 20 matches with 140 kills and two assists. She was credited with 175 digs and eight solo blocks with five service aces.
Aaliyah is from Ringgold, Georgia where she is a graduate of Heritage High School. Aaliayh comes to Cleveland State from Morehead State University where she competed in track and field as a sprinter.
Saylor is from Chattanooga, Tennessee where is a graduate of East Hamilton High School. She was a four year varsity member for the Hurricanes.
Caroline Churcch
Caroline if from Kingsport, Tennessee where she is a graduate of Dobyns Bennett High School. She was a two year starter for the Indians.
