LADY COUGAR SOFTBALL LANDS COAHULLA CREEK'S EMILY BANKS
Emily Banks, a utility player at Coahulla Creek High School, has singed to continue her softball career with the Cleveland State softball team. Although she played different positions in high school, she is expected to add depth at the catcher's position with the Lady Cougars.
She earned honorable mention to the Daily Citizen's All-Area Softball team this past year. The Daily Citizen is the area publication covering schools around the Dalton area. As a senior, she batted .354 with 23 RBIs, 12 runs, 11 doubles, and one home run.
She graduated from Coahulla Creek with a 3.8 GPA and plans to study criminal justice. Her future plans also include moving on to a four year institution to continue her studies and softball career.
