Lady Chargers Score 19 in Double Header, Sweep Lady Cougars
The Lady Cougars couldn't pull out a win in today's double header against Columbia State.
Columbia State's offense led the Lady Chargers to a double header sweep over Cleveland State today at Cougar Field.
In game one, Columbia State (22-9, 17-3) scored nine runs with Kari Gipson driving in five on two home runs. Tori Roberts scored the Lady Cougars only run, driven in by lead off batter Miranda Smith.
The Lady Chargers tallied ten runs in game two behind three home runs. Kaitlyn Miller drove in four runs including hitting a three run homer. Jennifer Kern scored the Lady Cougars only run, driven in by Courtni Hammers.
Cleveland State (5-23, 4-22) returns to the field Friday at Dyersburg State in a double header with first pitch scheduled for 3 p.m.
