COUGARS DROP FIRST CONTEST TO COLUMBIA 98-92
The Cougars suffered their first loss of the season as they fell to the Chargers of Columbia State by a 98-92 final. Leading 37-36 after the first twenty minutes of the game, their hosts exploded for 62 points in the second half. The Cougars were plagued with foul trouble which led to a poor shooting first half performace.
Elijah Weems (pictured) led the team with 19 points and 18 rebounds in the loss. Victor Curry was next with 18 points and 11 rebounds. Tevin Olison and Cam Copeland also reach double digits with 15 and 11 points.
Copeland and Romero Hill led the team with seven and five assists, respectively.
