Volleyball's Ariana Smith will join four-year college Johnson University in Knoxville, Tenn in the fall. Smith will officially sign with the Royals on April 1st in a ceremony in the Cougar Room.
This marks Cleveland State Volleyball's first graduate of the program to move on to sign on with a four-year college.
"Ariana Smith has been a powerhouse on our team these past two years," head coach Alizabeth Atnip said of Smith's time at Cleveland State. "Her leadership skills have developed as well as her understanding of the game. Even up against some big blocking teams, she would find a way to get us points. Ariana not only was a force on the front row but was an intelligent passer. Many times, she would frustrate other teams with her digging ability. I am excited for her to continue playing at Johnson University; they are lucky to have her."
