Bio

Caleb Evans, from Cleveland Tennessee, played college golf at Cumberland University located in Lebanon, Tennessee. It was at Cumberland where he studied Sport-Management.

Throughout Evans’ collegiate golf career, he played in a total of 31 events. During those events he tallied a total of 16 top 15’s, 9 top 10’s, and 2 top 5’s. One of which was a third place finish at the 2009 RedHawk Classic. After Evans exhausted his four years of eligibility at Cumberland University, he then went on to earn a Business Administration Degree from Bryan College.

Evans’s work history within the golf industry goes back to his days in college where he was a rules official for the Tennessee Junior Golf Association for three years. After earning his degree, he became Assistant Golf Professional at Nob North Golf Course, located in Cohutta Georgia. His tenure at Nob North persisted for three years until he was offered the Assistant Golf Professional position at The Bear Trace at Harrison Bay, where he is currently employed.

Caleb is extremely excited to be joining the Cleveland State Golf Team staff as he is passionate about teaching and coaching golf to others. The advancement of students is motivating for Evans, as he is always eager in his ongoing pursuit to grow the game of golf while expressing golf knowledge to those around him.
