Lindsey Beck

Bio

Lindsey Beck was named Interim Head Cross Country Coach in October of 2019.

Coaching and Professional Experience

Beck had two coaching stints in her career, one as Assistant Coach/Head Distance Coach at Lipscomb Academy Middle School Track & Field in 2016 with in undergraduate studies at Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tenn. and one as Assistant Cross Country Coach at Chattanooga Christian School in Chattanooga, Tenn.

She also earned her Certified Personal Training license through ACE in August of 2018.

Beck also worked at Fleet Feet Chattanooga for five months prior to coming to Cleveland State's staff as the Sports Information Director in February 2019 as an outfitter.

Playing Experience

Beck ran collegiate track for Covenant College from the spring of 2016- the spring of 2018. She was a member of the Scots' inaugural track and field program. Beck competed in multiple different events for the Scots, including the 5000m, the 800m, and the 1500m. She set the school's indoor 800m record in February of 2018, which she held for a year.

Education

Beck graduated with a degree in Sport Adminstration from Covenant College in Lookout Mountain, Ga. in May 2018 after transferring in her junior year from Lipscomb University.

Personal

A native of Brentwood, Tenn., Beck currently resides in Chattanooga, Tenn. after moving to the area permanently in June of 2018.
