Kevin Hammons was drafted by the Florida Marlins (now Miami Marlins) in the 24th round of the 2007 MLB Draft.
He played one season of A ball for the Jamestown Jammers and then played four seasons of Independent League baseball for the Gateway Grizzlies and the Washington Wild Things from 2008-2011.
