PREVIEW: Baseball Faces Vol State
The Cougars will open their weekend series with a single game on Friday at 3:00 ET.
Baseball will travel to Volunteer State for a weekend series with the Pioneers on Friday and Saturday after a 1-1 series with Tusculum JV in Tusculum, Tenn. The Cougars will play a single game at 3:00 ET on Friday and a doubleheader on Saturday starting at 1:00 ET.
Vol State is currently ranked seventh in the TCCAA with an overall record of 16-21 and a conference record of 6-11. After going on a seven-game winning streak earlier in the season, they have now lost three of their last four games, including losing 1-2 in their season series with sixth-ranked Jackson State.
The Cougars swept the Pioneers 3-0 last year and will hope to repeat last year's fortunes again this year. After this series, they will travel to Shorter University to face the Hawks' JV team on Wednesday. First pitch is set for 1:00 ET.
